My Work

Names of the mountains climbed
                           Baby Shivling (5606 m), Kala Nag (6387 m),Thelu (6000 m.),Gangotri one(6672 m) and Nanda Devi (7817 m.) in Indian  Himalayas and participated in Indian Everest Expedition (8848 m) in Nepal.

Research Projects done
                            Growth of Himalayan tourism & pilgrimage in Gangotri-Gaumukh area: an impact on physical resources and economy, year 1989-93, financed by Ministry of environment & forests, govt. of India, New Delhi.
                            Afforestation based eco-conservation in Gangotri-Gaumukh area, year 1997-2000, financed by G.B.Pant institute of Himalayan environment & dev. Kosi, Almora, India.
                            Conservation of Bhojpatra (Birch) afforestation and eco-awareness campaign in Gaumukh area, year 2001-2006, financed by G.B.Pant Institute of Himalayan environment & dev. Kosi, Almora, India.

Publication of book
                           Tourism in Garhwal Himalaya (with special reference to trekking and mountaineering in Uttarkashi and Chamoli districts)

Latest work
                           Raised the Bhojpatra (Betula utilis) plant nursery at Chirbasa at an altitude of 11700 ft., near the source of river Ganga.This work is financed by Uttarakhand Seva Nidhi, Almora, Uttaranchal, India. Planted 10,000 saplings of Birch and Salix etc. at an altitude of 12500 ft. with the co-operation of Mr. Rattan Singh Chauhan, Senior Instructor, Nehru Institute Of Mountaineering Uttarkashi, Uttaranchal, India. The survival rate of the planted saplings is seventy percent.
